School Speed Test Tools and Analysis

In The Broadband Imperative: Recommendations to Address K-12 Education Infrastructure Needs, SETDA recommends that schools will need external Internet connections to their Internet service provider of 100 Mbps per 1,000 students and staff by 2014-15 and of 1 Gbps per 1,000 students and staff by 2017-18.

E-rate There is no one pot to get funding from Leverage statewide and nationwide contracts to drive pricing of services down which will lower amount required to be reimbursed under E-rate and reduce the burden on the fund. Statewide Bonds Scalable implementation based on SETDA recommendation Nationally Ask DOE to provide relief in other programs so that funding can be directed towards this unfunded mandate Industry Work with SETDA to meet with developers to help create devices in conjunction with online assessments.
